Customer Service Representative – Insurance & Financial Services

Join a successful, established insurance and financial services team where you can build lasting customer relationships, develop valuable professional skills, and create opportunities for increased income and career growth.

We are looking for a dependable, people-oriented professional who enjoys helping customers, solving problems, and making sure clients are properly protected as their lives change.

Previous insurance experience is not required. Many successful people in this industry came from customer service, hospitality, retail, banking, healthcare, education, administrative roles, or completely different career paths. If you enjoy helping people, communicate well, and are willing to learn, we encourage you to apply even if you have never considered insurance as a career.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide outstanding service to existing customers by phone, email, and in person

  • Help customers with policy questions, coverage changes, billing questions, and general account needs

  • Build strong, long-term relationships with customers

  • Review customer accounts and identify opportunities where additional insurance or financial products may better protect them

  • Help customers understand their options and make informed decisions

  • Follow up on customer requests and make sure issues are handled accurately and professionally

  • Work toward individual and team service, retention, and account-growth goals

  • Complete required insurance licensing and ongoing training

Who Can Be Successful Here?

You may be a great fit if you:

  • Enjoy talking with people and helping solve problems

  • Are friendly, professional, patient, and dependable

  • Take ownership of customer needs and follow through

  • Are comfortable working independently while also contributing to a team

  • Are organized and able to manage multiple customer requests

  • Communicate clearly and confidently

  • Are coachable and willing to learn new skills

  • Are comfortable recommending additional products when they genuinely meet a customer's needs

  • Want your effort and performance to create opportunities for increased compensation and advancement

  • Are willing to study and obtain the required insurance licenses

Experience in customer service, hospitality, banking, retail, healthcare, education, office administration, or another people-focused profession can translate very well into this position.

We can teach insurance. What we are looking for is someone with strong character, good communication skills, a service mindset, and the desire to grow professionally.

What We Provide

You will receive hands-on training, insurance education, professional coaching, and a proven process for taking care of customers and identifying additional ways we can help them.

This role is a great opportunity to develop skills in customer relationship management, insurance planning, communication, account retention, and business development.

For someone who performs at a high level, there are opportunities for increased compensation, additional responsibility, advancement within the agency, and excellent preparation for those who may eventually be interested in becoming a State Farm agent.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $40,000–$50,000 annually

  • Additional performance-based bonus opportunities

  • 401(k) plan

  • Health insurance

  • Life and disability insurance

  • Paid vacation, personal time, sick time, and holidays

  • Ongoing training and professional development

  • Growth and advancement opportunities within the agency

  • Excellent preparation for future State Farm agency ownership

If you enjoy helping people, building relationships, solving problems, and being part of a team where your contribution matters, we would like to meet you.
Compensation: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
